Went to an anime showing today, got my first look at .hack//sign.... davi was right, all dialog, no action, yet strangely good o_o. I'd unfortunately missed the first showing a couple weeks ago, so I missed the first 2 eps. But of course, being a no-action show and already having had a general idea of the story, I was able to pick up alright.
Me and my floormate got to the showing in time to catch the last 5 minutes of Wonderful Days. What little I saw of it was very emotional (with much opera-like music.... some one in the back said it was like watching ballet.... I agree completely) and climactic. I probly would've been tearing up like mad if i had seen it in it entirety. From what little I managed to catch in those 5 min, the setting seems to be in a world where they've never seen the sun cause everything is covered over by clouds (which I later verified from their website.. hehe), and plot involved what appeared to be your best-friend-turned-enemy love story type thing. Hard to say, there was no dialog and minimal action in those 5 min... just ballet and blood wounds O_o. And wow the animation blew me away! It's like the train scene from Spirited Away kicked up 10 levels. I think it's done in full 3D animation, yet they still manage to make the anime feel fit in. I may be wrong, having only seen the last 5 min, but I really want to get my hands on it now.... you know a show has to be good if you can be wowed by only 5 min of it :D
Currently browsing through their website, and being more wowed by each click.
