One cold capital

So! Me, parents, aunt, and cousin (I guess they wanted to go sight-seeing?) went up to Ottawa for the day to find me a house. I was asleep the whole trip there, hehe. 9 am is waaay too early =P

Winter sucks. It's nice and all right after a fresh snowfall, but once the cars have finished driving all over the place... nasty brown sloppy slush. Gross.

In the end, we only visited 2 houses. The first was really nice, backs onto the river, big room, clean, nice, big, etc., but it's a fair distance away from the office. The second is much closer to the office, and on a bus route. They've also got three cats, plus the neighbour's that occasionally wanders in. In the end, I chose the first house because it seemed much more comfortable to live in. Now all that's left to do is fix my sleeping times so that I'll be awake in the morning, hehe.

The ride back home was looong, since it was snowing the whole time. We saw the snow plow armies pass by a couple times on the other side of the road... I've never seen so many together at once, lol. There were something like 8 plows and 2 salters in each group, and a loooong line of traffic behind them ;)

Around 2 am, you couldn't see the lanes anymore -- it was just one wide, white, empty road. Much fun =)
