Another trip around the sun

I was planning on writing up a long catch-up post, detailing the changes and events that have taken place in the past 2 weeks, but I haven't the heart for it after all. So in its place, a brief and blunt whirlwind tour of the past half month.

1) I'm working in Waterloo now, as a QA tester for www.gbg.com
2) I'm not at Sunview this term, over at Uni & Weber instead. Living with the owner (renter?) and one other girl
3) The new place is decent, but I dislike the bathrooms. The toilets don't flush well, and the tap on my sink is.. strange.. And coated with deposits
4) My house mate has odd habits. I suspect much of the mess in the kitchen sink is hers, and she also tends to throw things into the toilet instead of the garbage can (cleansing pads and a bandaid so far). I use the downstairs bathroom when possible, but it has an odd and not-quite-pleasant smell
5) Things I do never seem to work out as I would hope. Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm afraid to try at all anymore...
6) It'll suck when I can no longer rollerblade [due to weather]. The sky has been downcast lately, and it's been raining all this morning
7) Hung out with J at some point last week. He blissfully discovered that the cat at my place is very friendly and likes attention
8) Went to Frankie Tomatoes for my bday dinner with family and Fred and Paul. Italian buffet, very good (unless you took the stuff that had been sitting out for a very long time =P). I was unable to comfortably sit up in the car afterwards, hehe.
9) I don't feel any older, despite my fear of the number 20 over the past year. I had expected to descend into a reclusive state of nostalgia, but surprisingly, I haven't felt any such thing at all.
9) Made a visit to friends in UWP. Those did not go quite as expected (See #5)
10) I hope to cook more often this term. My term in Ottawa has left me with an adverseness towards spending time in the kitchen
11) Must sleep earlier. I have yet to go to bed before 12 this term, hehe.
12) Change in weather has left my nose alternating between "can't breathe" and "constantly running" for the last 2 weeks
13) Trying to cut back on WoW, but there's little else to do when I'm at home. I'm saving my books for the transit ride to and from work.
14) A group of us became really tight over the past school term. I think more than one of us are feeling the effects of less time spent together now =/
15) Perhaps I'm feeling a bit nostalgic after all, though more due to the new term and the changes it brings than the fact that I've made another trip around the sun


Hehe, for a brief and blunt recapping, it seems I've still managed to throw out a lot. It's been a bit of a ride trying to settle in to the new term, but hopefully things will pick up from here on in -- even if the weather doesn't want to =)
