The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Nostalgia made the movie doubly awesome, though there are certain feelings I get from events in the book that I don't seem to feel in the movie. Part of that may likely be because I've read the whole series several times over though, so I have a sense of attachment to certain things that one wouldn't get the first time around. That which sticks most clearly in my mind is the lamppost. I have an extremely strong sense of nostalgia associated with the lamppost, but it feels like it was passed over so lightly in the movie :(

(That's probably pretty close to how it was treated in the book as well, but having read the whole series...)

When I first watched the trailers for the movie, I must admit I was rather disappointed in Aslan's voice; however, it's not so bad once you're in and absorbed in the story. Personally, I think a deeper voice would've been kinglier, but as it is, it worked well with portraying that sense of heavy sorrow.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series turns out; though as is always the case with novels-made-movie, I'll be a bit sad to have that imagination-dependant element of it removed.
