I've finally found the shortcut keys for switching to other (Japanese) input modes! And so, for the sake of future reference...
Japanese IME Shortcut Keys
The well known:
Alt+Shift : Switches between languages
Alt+` : Toggles Japanese/Direct input mode
The newly discovered:
Ctrl+CapsLock : Hiragana
Alt+CapsLock : Katakana
Shift+CapsLock : Romanji
