Lifesong:
CCF's Lifesong was amazing. To quote, "We have a lot of talent in CCF." The 3-part skit had an interesting take on views of Christianity. The skit was about a 'Demon University' where demons learn to keep people entrenched in the 'real world' instead of looking to eternity and God. For myself, I think it served as a good reminder that there's more to Christianity than what can be seen with the naked eye.
The music performances were also very good. I don't have the song list on hand right now.. If I remember it later, perhaps I'll post it. Haruka's performance dropped my jaw, haha. I knew she sang, and I knew she had sung in competitions, but I had never heard her sing before.
There were a couple of technical difficulties, but then again what CCF event would be complete without them? =P
Foosball:
W/ Sev and Jon, we were planning on playing ping-pong, but the table was taken, hence we decided to play on the vacant foosball table while we waited. We never actually managed to get the ping-pong table, but I think I like foosball more =). I much prefer playing offensive than defensive, but that point was made null when the other two started teaming up on me =P
Hehe, j/k j/k.
Sushi:
There's a surprisingly good sushi place in Waterloo. Right in the middle of the 'student ghetto' too, hehe. A co-worker recommended the place to me, so I went there for dinner with J/J/S on Sat.. sooo good. Sadly, not Mr. Sushi pricing, but quality was definately worth it ;)
Keyboard:
Brought my [piano] keyboard up from home, yay. The last time I really played on the piano was back in the middle of 1B, so about a year and a half now. Wow, I'm so out of practice. I have to think to read notes on leger lines, or any note below bass C :S
Also, since I've only got a keyboard and not a real piano, it means I'm going to end up unable to play a real piano when I go home ^^; (since keyboard keys don't have the same resistance). Maybe I'll try out the SLC piano every now and then, just so I don't forget what a real piano feels like, haha.
It's a bit cramped in my room now, but it should all be fine once I'm back at Sunview ^^
