W06 is done and over with: looks like I'll be showing up in 3B for F06 after all.
On a more interesting note, I'm now on work term with Solinst, in Georgetown. It's looking to be a promising term here, despite my current feelings of being in way over my head. Looking at the stuff the previous co-op did makes me worry as to whether I have any hope of being able to do the same, but it's also something I'm looking forward to if I can glean enough experience within these 4 months =)
The job certainly feels more like engineering than my previous terms as software testers. They actually manufacture and assemble their products in this building, and the R&D department's room reminds me very much of the school labs (circuit components strewn everywhere, breadboards, oscilloscopes, chips in various stages of assembly). Disambiguation trailed me throughout my orientation tour.
It's been a bit slow starting up due to my utter lack of experience, but things are looking up this term.
