A copy of C3/DS was aquired for me recently, with which I happily explored old memories of the game(s) once again.
Several rediscoveries:
-The C3/DS generation creatures aren't nearly as cute and endearing as their earlier counterparts
-C3 standalone is a PITA
-COBs are what makes all the game versions worth playing (or even just playable, as the case may be)... must see if I've still got my old stash
-The ecosystem dies out/gets out of whack pretty quickly, and not all the lifeforms can be revived through the seed banks either
-Sludge guns are deadly
-I've forgotten how to access all the other cool quirks in the game -- primarily the commandline interface stuff
On the To-do-but-will-likely-never-happen list:
-Track down my C2 CD. Likely to be a futile task, but who knows, I may get lucky
-Find and fix my C2->C3 conversions... apparently there's been complaints =P
-Find a genome editor
No, I've never really gotten over my obsession with Creatures =P
